An author of Clichy town in the spotline
Saturday, October 27, was held in the Library of Clichy-la-Garenne a meeting around my book "The Syriacs tell the crusades", meeting with an interested public and representatives of the City Council.
I presented the history of the Crusades during two centuries (1097-1291). Three of our Syriac Chroniclers, Michael the Great, The Anonymous Edessenian, and Bar Hebraeus presented their vision of events. For them, this was not a war of religion or a war of civilisation.
The evening ended in a friendly way with cups of champagne and baclawas, these delicious East pastries.
